"KNIT a BLOCK"  or "CROCHET a BLOCK" 

KnittnYarns is an exciting new venture set up by Anna Kennett to teach knitting and crochet techniques.  Anna’s workshops explore skills in intarsia, Fair Isle, beaded knitting, Swiss darning, textured knitting, lace knitting, loop knitting, embellishments and finishing.  Her workshops will assist you to design your own knitted or crocheted blocks to create a quilt or other useful items employing the fun techniques taught by Anna and using up your stash of yarns. The sessions are not only great fun, there are health benefits too. (Various studies have shown that knitting and crochet can reduce tress and increase a sense of well-being.) Come and learn new skills, update old, and rediscover how by simply casting on you can cast off those daily anxieties.

My name is Anna Kennett and my passions are knitting and crochet. Over a period of four years I was trained by the UK’s top designers to enable me to start my exciting new venture called KnitnYarns. My aim is to pass on my skills in a new format for advanced and creative forms of knitting and crochet by running innovative workshops.

Enrol for the different classes Anna will be running starting in February 2015. Come and learn new and exciting techniques. Intarsia, Fair Isle, Beaded Knitting and Crochet and many more. Workshops are held in a relaxed venue from 9am to 5pm. Twelve to a class so you get one on one tutoring.

Beads

Anna will soon offering a range of knitting beads for your hand knit and crochet projects. A colourful and attractive variety of beads will be available on the website from 2015. Beads are useful for lace-weight, 4 ply and double knitting yarns.

       

Covert Cushion Club

Covert Cushion Club

Next year Anna will be running a one off AK Design Covert Cushion Themed Project which will run over a period of five months. This exciting new venture will give hours of enjoyment and cover most of the techniques taught in the workshops and at the end of the project you will have a lovely cushion to grace your home.
